Heritage Christian Daycare & Learning Center’s mission is to serve our children and their families by demonstrating Christian character values, ethics and morals as we strive to create an atmosphere that is both caring and nurturing so that every child that is in our care will feel comfortable and secure. An atmosphere that promotes the emotional, social, intellectual, physical, and spiritual development of each child enrolled in our center.
Heritage Christian Daycare & Learning Center is grounded in the conviction that every child is a “Heritage” of the Lord, a gift from God! We believe that children deserve to be treated and respected as individuals in an environment that welcomes exploration, questions, and imagination. We value each child’s need for safety, security, warmth and acceptance in the promise of God’s love.
Heritage Christian Daycare & Learning Center was founded in March of 1982, by Diane Shorey, in response to the community’s needs for a Christian childcare at an affordable rate. From an initial enrollment of 9 full-time children, the center has grown to become one of the largest & most respected childcare centers in Alvin, Texas.
Our Center is located on nearly an acre of land, right in the heart of Alvin (across the street from the Alvin Fire Department). Our outdoor play area is expansive with lots of grass, an in-ground swimming pool, climbing structures, tricycle paths and more.
Our program encourages children’s social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual development. We have an “Open Door Policy” so stop by at any time to view our facilities and to meet our staff and teachers.
